Day 16

There was something about today – nothing seemed to go right!?

Today I was meant to go to New Plymouth. I got to the airport, boarded the small plane, and watched the safety film only to fly from Auckland to New Plymouth and back again because of bad weather. With no more flights expected for the arvo I had to have a plan b. I shuffled my schedule and decided I would fulfil a different gift wish today. I went to collect the gift in Panmure, only, I was at the wrong branch and had to scoot over the shore. Hmmm lunch time traffic.

Then I drove to Ngaruawahia in the Waikato. Robbie’s gift wish really was cool. He runs a youth development program called Kids2Kiwis. He uses rugby league to get them working together and maturing. He felt they could all do with some new and improved training equipment. So with balls, cones, drink bottles, tackle pads and thingy-m-bobs I headed to his property.

I’d have to say that Robbie was the most grateful and inspiring gift recipient so far. Robbie definitely turned my frown up side down (given my morning) and put a smile back on my dial. What a truly lovely man. Good luck, training is gonna rock thanks to Robbie.

Tomorrow I am going to one of my favourite places in New Zealand…. Napier! Yay! So excited.

Day 15

Half way mark now guys!

Now, you may recall I have made it my mission to see all (fingers crossed) gifts are delivered. So I jumped in the car and made the trip back to Whangamata to see Monique who missed her gift back in week one.

Monique had a really interesting gift wish. She is getting married in the New Year and wished for a wedding photographer. Thinking about it, a photographer is an essential part of your wedding day. You need wedding photos to look back on for years to come. Also, you don’t get married every day so why not capture the beautiful one off memories in the best possible way – unless its Vegas..

So I think this is a very deserving gift wish this Christmas. I wish Monique and her beautiful family a wonderful Christmas and wedding.

Tomorrow I am getting in my private jet… haha just kidding; I wish … I am flying to Taranaki with more gift wishes. Can’t wait. Jump on twitter and tell me a little more about Taranaki. Look forward to hearing from ya!

Day 12

What a busy week it has been.

After a wonderful time in Wellington it was time to set off for Palmy North. It was quite an eventful drive. My car had a few hiccups, I forgot some luggage and there were road works urgh.

Today’s winner was Sheree. She was desperate for a tramp for her children and was keen on the SpringFree ones. SpringFree make a special tramp, with no springs to fall through. Very cool.

The whole family had just got home from Dad’s graduation! It was a double whammy of happiness and joy in one day for the family. Have fun kids!

Next week I have trips planned all over the country! Will it be you??

Keep an eye out for more blogs and my twitter updates. Have a great weekend NZ.

Day 11

So Santa has a sleigh but Sarah the Gift Giver has an aeroplane!! Nice!

I got up nice an early for my flight to Wellington. Get this – I woke up at 6am for a flight that departed at 11:30am… sad huh? I am a big kid!
The flight was great. Before I new it I had landed in Wellington and it was a magnificent sunny day.

My first winner didn’t live far from the airport so I headed there in my newly acquired rental car which I have nicknamed flash. Jeremy was at work. His passion is to swim and its one of the few times he is free of stress and finds peace with the world. His gift wish was a 12month membership to his local Karori pools. He was extremely happy and very surprised!

I have fallen in love with Wellington!! I drove up into the Kelburn suburb for our next winner. The roads were barely a few metres wide and some parts of the road were steep, so it was pretty hair-raising! Funnily enough our second winner Abbey was laying outside her house soaking up the sun as I arrived.

Her gift wish was a digital camera, to capture all of her memories during her overseas trip! Awesome!

Finally I went to find Katherine in Thorndon with possibly one of the more unusual gifts ive given so far. Two very large but extremely light black carbon fibre paddles. Katherine tells they are used for kayaking in the waters around Wellington. I would kayak too in such a beautiful city!

Very successful I didn’t get lost phew and every one got their gifts hurray!
Time to unwind and check out the sights. I’m driving “flash” ( my car ) up to Palmerston North. Until then ☺

Day 10

Wow! The last day of spring went out in style with the sun shining like crazy here in Auckland.

For all those people out there umming and ahhing about Christmas presents I can personally tell you that there is nothing like a bit of pampering. Truth is, when you look good you feel good and with all the stress at Christmas time – that can only be a good thing!

That’s just what Holly said she needed to light up her Christmas – a styled haircut from her favourite hairdresser. How nice does that sound?! Enjoy Holly!

I wont be in Auckland tomorrow. I am flying down to our windy capital city with more than one gift to give away.. and no I dont have a NavMan eekkk – Wish me luck finding ya’ll!!!
