Day 30

Spending time with the family is great – don’t get me wrong. But don’t you always find that family time normally consists of some thing like a beach picnic or a bushwalk? I love to do those things buuuutttt some times you want mum and dad to get into some thing more up your alley… like… extreme rides and roller coasters!!

If Kristy, today’s winner in Paihia, could have it her way she’d have everyone in her family make the trip down to Rainbows End in Auckland for a fun day of rides and candy floss.

That’s just what we gave her four Super passes!! How cool is that. Enjoy guys, try the giant drop! Dare ya!

Its been such an amazing journey guys cant believe its the end.

Day 29

Nz gardens are looking fab. Its that time of year when everything is in bloom and looking sensational. I would know I’ve spent four weeks on the road and seen some very special gardens.

Today’s winner Scott has been hard at work renovating his home. What he needed now to finish it off was a garden and what better a rose garden for he and his wife to enjoy. I went to the friendly plant barn this morning and made my selection of the best eight roses I could find. It was a very fun!

As a busy and constantly on the move truck driver Scott agreed to meet me at the dumping location of his haul. So at midday, I braved the wind, stod in my waiting spot and watched as this huge truck pulled up.

A smiling Scott jumped out to pick up his gift wish – complete with a little fox terrier watching on from Scott’s passenger seat. Enjoy your bright and beautiful rose garden Scott!!

Tomorrow is my last day guys, tune in to see my last Christmas adventure!!

Day 26

Left Christchurch this morning nice and early for my flight to Invercargill. What a beautiful city it is!! So underrated!! Invercargill is like a Victorian time warp these huge embellished buildings I half expected to see a horse drawn cart. I headed over to Claire’s work in the middle of town. Its funny, when most people see me they think I’m lost, a visitor or a courier person.. then they see the camera and they know something’s up!! Haha.

I gave Claire her gift wish a digital photo frame to stream pictures of her grandkids who live far away and whom she misses dearly. Sorry my vids abit shaky guys.

My next winner lived 3.5hrs north of Invercargill so I was taken along the state highway 6 and I tell you it was magnificent in every sense of the word!!

I caught up with Georgia in Arrowtown. She wrote in and said its 6months till her 60th birthday and she really wanted to experience the ultimate in skiing – a heliski. It was great giving Georgia her gift as she had all her friends around her – she literally jumped for joy!!

Have a wonderful safe weekend NZ, don’t forget to check in next week for day 29 and 30….could still be coming to see you!!!

Day 25

Day 25!? Can you believe it! I hope you’ve all got your Christmas trees up and decorated, a Christmas cake baked for your neighbour and applied for your holidays at work. Time is ticking on!

Our Christchurch winner Vicki was not home, she was out busily running errands getting ready for Christmas. Thankfully I did some investigating and found out she would be at Tower Junction buying togs at midday.

Now it’s not the best weather in Christchurch today but bless, Vicki waited outside the store for me – her “mystery guest”. “ I know who you are, I follow your stuff online” she said as I strolled through the car park towards her (admitedly getting a thrill out of being recognised). Vicki had asked for ice skating lessons to supplement the ones she does on a Tuesday with her daughter. What a cool mum!!

Two gift wishes tomorrow. One a little out of Queenstown and one south, in Invercargill – and yes I am gonna head to Bluff for an oyster.

Merry Christmas!!

Day 24

Christmas, its all about the family being together, good food, fun, sunshine, laughter and of course presents. It’s a wonderful time of year, however, there is often a dampener… the travelling. My family live all over the show and there is no end to getting lost every year.. or is there? Crowded and unfamiliar roads can do your head in! Leaving some family members in not the best mood, which is never cool at Christmas.

Today’s winner Deanne didn’t want a stressful drive to family, friends and her camping holiday. What is the solution you may ask? A comprehensive road map… haha.. Nah – that’s not very 21st century of me, but a TOMTOM navigator for Deanne’s car is. She was sooo thrilled and confessed she did have inkling she was today’s winner after reading my morning tweets. Good stuff!

You will be pleased to know, I am coming back to the south island yippee! I’ve got three gifts over the next two days.. Key words for each are ice, memories and helicopter.. Sound like what you asked for?
